Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida (1863 – 1923 ), was a Spanish impressionist painter.
He is one of the Spanish painters with the most works, more than 2,200. Sometimes labelled as an Impressionist, he is actually better defined as a luminist because of his mature style of light.
