Gilt wood frame with Estofado de oro (a technique of polychrome wood).
This is a reproduction in relief of a Fresco Painting in Renaissance style with the title “The cardinal virtues“, which was produced in 1511 by Raphael Sanzio and which is located now in the Vatican Museums in Rome. The three figures represent the cardinal virtues, Fortaleza (strength) with helmet and oak branch, Prudentia (Prudence) seen her reflection and Templanza (Temperance) holds the reins.
