Decorative figure reproducing the sculpture “Little Dancer aged 14”, by the French Impressionist painter and sculptor Edgar Degas (1834 – 1917). This artist is most famous for his paintings of classical ballet dancers in various poses and attitudes, capturing the dynamism of the figures in movement. As a sculptor he exhibited only this sculpture of a ballerina, which clashed with the canons of the time.
