Reproduction made from the statue of the Boy with Thorn. This sculpture, also called Fedele or Spinario, is a Hellenistic Greco-Roman bronze statue depicting a child removing a thorn from the sole of his foot. The original work is currently exhibited in the Palazzo dei Conservatori, Rome. A Roman marble copy of this theme is found in the Medici collection and can be seen in a corridor of the Uffizi Gallery, Florence.
The decoration of both interiors and exteriors with statues like this reproduction brings the cultural and aesthetic richness of classical art to our homes. When we incorporate these sculptures into our outdoor spaces, we infuse a sense of nobility and serenity into our favorite outdoor corners. The materials used, stone or marble molded with resins, withstand the weather well; the finish applied replicates the touch and appearance of sculpted stone that has weathered the centuries. Due to their versatility, these materials allow reproducing all kinds of styles, from ancient art to contemporary works.
Reproductions of large classical sculptures create an atmosphere of serene contemplation, especially standing out in our gardens, where these statues, peeking through the vegetation, blend with the natural elements, establishing a fascinating dialogue between the beauty of art and nature.
