Bust of Diana, goddess of Nature, hunting, and the Moon.

The Roman goddess Diana, known as Artemis in Greece, was worshipped as the goddess of the wild nature and the Moon, assimilated with Selene. Daughter of Zeus and Leto, she was born along with her twin brother Apollo on the island of Delos. A virgin goddess of nature, she was the protector of wild animals and maidens, as well as childbirth. Her bow and arrows symbolize her hunting skill.
