Reproduction of the Bust of Marcus Aurelius, 2th century BC, the original of which is in the Ephesus Museum on the Aegean Coast. Turkey.
The material used is reconstituted marble, marble powder agglutinated with resin.
Measurements: Height 86cm. Width: 56cm. Depth 35cm.
This is a very faithful reproduction of the original. Only the base has been reconstructed for decorative purposes.
The Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius (121 AD, – 180 AD) is known as one of the “Five Good Emperors”. He bequeathed to us a masterful work of philosophical reflections on self-knowledge and good government: the ‘Meditations’ written directly in the campaign.
