Description

Set of seven porcelain enamelled figurines. “Soldiers”. Inspired by 19th century European porcelain models.

– Measurements: Width: 10 cm. Depth: 10 cm. Height: 35 cm.

Each of the figures in this set presents the characteristic uniform of a military unit, clearly showing the change in uniformity that took place at the beginning of the 19th century. Already at the time of Napoleon Bonaparte, the main European porcelain factories (Meissen, Sèvres, Capodimonte, etc.) created numerous figurines in the uniforms characteristic of each nation. The set is inspired by these works.
