Reproduction of a medieval crucifix made in high quality resin. Careful patinas with antiquing.
The crucifix we reproduce is a copy of the famous 12th century Christ of San Damiano, found in the city of Assisi (Italy).
The style is Romanesque but the presence of Eastern Byzantine is noticeable. The original crucifix is 210 cm long and 130 cm wide. It is not painted on the wood, but is a canvas incorporated into the walnut wood. This type of crucifix was very popular and venerated in the central regions of Italy. The paintings are of great beauty and show the resurrection of Jesus.
