Icarus is a character from Greek mythology. He was the son of Daedalus, the builder of the labyrinth of Crete, in which they lived as prisoners. Daedalus made wings with a frame made of beeswax to escape from the labyrinth; in his flight, despite his father’s warnings, Icarus got too close to the sun, the wax melted, the wings fell apart and Icarus ended up falling into the sea.
