Reproduction of a bronze statuette inspired by the ceramic painted figures of the Greek geometric period. The Geometrical Period is an archaeological period in Greece between the 13th century BC and the 8th century BC, also known as the Dark Ages, which spanned from the collapse of the Mycenaean civilisation and the invasion of the Dorian peoples to Archaic Greece. The period takes its name from the decorative style of pottery from this period, characterised by the use of geometric motifs and the depiction of schematic human and animal figures.
