Alphonse Mucha (1860–1939) was a Czech painter associated with the Art Nouveau movement. Mucha stood out not only as a painter but also for his works in decorative arts, posters, illustrations, theater sets, interior design (carpet and wallpaper designs), jewelry, etc.
