Reproduction of a thymiaterium or incense burner found in Calaceite (Teruel). It is currently on display in the National Archaeological Museum (MAN), Madrid.
The original, of Iberian manufacture, is dated to between the 7th and 6th centuries BC. It consists of two cones with two opposing openwork rings, which are joined together in a column with a horse at the base.
Thymiateria were incense or perfume burners used for religious and ceremonial purposes.
