Lucio Anneo Séneca was a philosopher, politician, orator and Roman writer known for his works of moralistic character. Son of the orator Marco Anneo Seneca, was quaestor, praetor, and Senator of the Roman Empire during the Governments of Tiberius, Caligula, Claudius and Nero, in addition to Minister, tutor and Advisor of Emperor Nero.
Trends moralists, Seneca went down in history as the highest representative of stoicism and Roman moralism after the decline of the Roman Republic.
