The volume contains the original Latin text of "Aeneis", the Aeneid

The Aeneid (Latin: Aeneis) is a Roman epic written by Publius Virgilio Marón, better known as Virgil, in the 1st century BC. The work was written on behalf of Emperor Augustus, in order to glorify, attributing a mythical origin, to the Empire that began with him. To this end, Virgil elaborates a rewriting, rather than a continuation, of the homeric poems, taking as a starting point the Trojan War and its destruction, and placing the foundation of Rome as an event that occurred in the manner of the legendary myths Greeks.

A very special gift for any fan of the Roman world!
