Reproduction of a relief realized in reconstituted marble (marble dust agglutinated with cronolita). With patina of aging to give the piece an antique look.

Plato was of noble Athenian family, and learned to write poetry since childhood. Later he was instructed by Cratylus and at the year 407 by Socrates, which he loved like a father. After the death of Socrates, has been in Megara, later maybe in Egypt and then in the south of Italy, where he befriended of the Pythagorean Archytas and other scholars. Plato's works are immense, mostly wrote short dialogues in which he applied the dialectic of Socrates, and defended the theories of his teacher and his own, refuting the Sophists and representatives from other schools.
