Scribe Morgan. Louvre Museum.
The scribes in Ancient Egypt were high officials and had a great social consideration. The sculpture represents a scribe in a sedative attitude developing his main activity. Sitting on the floor with crossed legs, on his skirt supports a papyrus on which he extends his arms to write, keeps his back upright and the firm look at the front with a gesture of attention to his interlocutor.
