Represented with the head of an elephant, he is the god of Wisdom, of arts and sciences, of abundance, and the remover of obstacles. He is the son of Shiva, one of the gods of the main Hindu Triad, and his wife Parvati. The elephant, with his large ears, symbol of the wise man who listens, and his legendary memory, is related to knowledge.
